Tofu Kung Pao by yummyyatra 😍 Crispy veggies, crunchy peanuts, tender tofu, and a spicy sauce! Serve it with rice or blended with noodles for a scrumptious meal!
Recipe serves 2-3
Tremendous agency tofu, 1 block (I used excessive protein tremendous agency)
Corn starch, 2 tbsp
Floor cayenne 1 teaspoon (regulate acc to your desire)
Recent floor pepper
Salt, to style
Impartial oil, about 2 tbsp (to shallow fry tofu cubes)
Sesame oil, 1 tbsp (for sauce)
Garlic, minced, Four cloves
Dried pink chillies, 2
Onion, chopped, 1
Bell peppers, diced, 2
Crimson chilli sauce, 1 tbsp (or to style)
Sugar or any sweetener, 1 tsp
Roasted unsalted peanuts 1/Four cup
Tamari/soy sauce, 2 tbsp
Corn starch blended in water – Three tbsp
Scallions – greens & whites (chopped and separated) – 4
🌱Drain the water from the tofu pack & wrap the tofu block in a kitchen towel. Set the tofu on to a deep plate and place a heavy pan over the tofu for 20 min. Unwrap the tofu, drain the surplus water. Minimize them into cubes
🌱Add tofu cubes to a bowl.
🌱Sprinkle cornstarch , floor cayenne, recent pepper, salt & toss the tofu cubes across the bowl in order that they get evenly coated in corn starch & spices. Set bowl apart
🌱Warmth oil (2 tbsp) in a forged iron skillet. As soon as the skillet is on medium warmth, fastidiously place tofu cubes & shallow-fry, ensuring all the edges are golden brown. About 20 min

🌱 Proceed cooking for 1-2 minutes, stirring usually
🌱Garnish with scallion greens & flip off warmth.
